Volunteer in China

If you are looking for a special opportunity in rural China, our volunteer project may be perfect for you. Teach English in schools for local Anhui countryside residents, and Aston will sponsor you by providing free accommodation, transportation, and access to our Chinese lessons in your spare time. Since this is a volunteer project, your teaching schedule would be lenient and you would never teach more 12 hours a week unless you want to. In a given week, you only work three to four days. Some of your classes will be held in rural area schools, and some will be held at Aston¡¯s premises in Wuhu.

The volunteer project is a good option for students wishing to gain teaching experience, or for students interested in learning about rural China. The volunteer program benefits both you and underprivileged Chinese students by providing you with experience and by providing Chinese students with important cross-cultural opportunity and English language skills that they would not otherwise have a chance to obtain.

We wish to highlight the fact that, as an Aston volunteer, you are free to join any of our Chinese classes during your spare time. They are held five days a week in both the morning and the afternoon.

This is a charity program and Aston does not make any profit.
